Setting Intention For Your Daily Routines

If it weren’t for being intentional about my daily routines, I would be a mess! 🤪

Seriously, the way my brain works (or doesn’t work), I’m very indecisive, easily distracted (diagnosed with ADHD), and I struggle with my memory (a combination of brain damage from a car accident and cognitive decline from 700+ hours of chemo).

Now, I realize that affirming all of that doesn’t help me, but I’m just trying to be open & vulnerable here to let you know what’s going on behind the scenes.

So, one of my fundamental keys to success for the last 20 years has been pre-determining which routines will enable me to produce the results that I want in my life – related to health, wealth, happiness, productivity, etc.

Then I create what I call a “foundational schedule” that incorporates all of the daily activities I will execute in order to consistently produce the results I want.

Some may say it’s too boring or rigid to do the same things every day. And to each their own, I’m not claiming that my way of doing things is the right or only way.

But I wanted to share this concept, and I’ll share my foundational schedule, in case this helps anyone.

===========
Monday-Friday
===========
4:30am – Wake Up
5-6am – Miracle Morning (SAVERS)
6-7am – Write
7-8am – Help kids get ready for school (and make my smoothie)
8-9am – Lift weights + Run/Bike
9-12pm – Work on high priority projects and to-do list
12-1pm – Eat lunch
1-2pm – Relax, get sunshine, play basketball
2-3pm – Daily Wrap-up (Closure for Today, Clarity for Tomorrow)
3-4pm – Pick kids up from school
4-5pm – Quality time with my son
5-6pm – Family dinner
6-7pm – Quality time with my daughter
7-8pm – Quality time with my wife
8-9pm – Miracle Evening (read and wind down)
9:30pm – Bedtime

I allow for flexibility, but in general, I wake up every day and don’t have to think much about what I’m going to do and when. I just follow my schedule and the results that I want pretty much take care of themselves.

Weekends are focused on spending quality time with my family, so I may stay up later, sleep in (although rarely), and generally allow my wife and kids to dictate our schedule.

Hope this is helpful for you! 🙏🏼❤️
